Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Information

1.1. Accuracy of Information

As a member, you agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and complete during the registration process and to update such information as necessary to ensure it remains accurate, current, and complete.

1.2. Verification

The Alliance reserves the right to verify the information provided. Membership may be suspended or terminated if any information provided is found to be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.

2. Use of the Builders Directory

2.1. Profile Listing

Members are encouraged to add and maintain an updated profile in the Builders Directory to facilitate connections with fellow members, clients, and collaborators.

2.2. Responsibility for Content

Members are solely responsible for the accuracy and content of the information they provide in their directory listings, including any claims about their skills, experience, or qualifications.

3. Online Courses and Resources

3.1. Access

Members have access to various online courses and resources provided by The Sustainable Builders Alliance. Members are encouraged to utilise these resources to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainable building practices.

3.2. Intellectual Property

All content and materials provided in the online courses are the intellectual property of The Sustainable Builders Alliance and are for personal use only. Unauthorised distribution or reproduction of these materials is prohibited.

4. Liability

4.1. No Warranty

The Alliance does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided by members in their profiles or during interactions within The Sustainable Builders Alliance.

4.2. Limitation of Liability

The Sustainable Builders Alliance is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • (i) The use or inability to use The Sustainable Builders Alliance’s services;
  • (ii) Unauthorised access to or alteration of member transmissions or data;
  • (iii) Statements or conduct of any third party on the services; or
  • (iv) Any other matter relating to the services.


4.3. False Information

The Sustainable Builders Alliance is not liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities resulting from any false, inaccurate, or misleading information provided by members.

5. Code of Conduct

5.1. Professionalism

Members agree to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner in all interactions related to The Sustainable Builders Alliance.

5.2. Compliance

Members agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with their participation in The Sustainable Builders Alliance.


6. Use of Logos

6.1. Appropriate Use

Members agree to the logo guidelines provided by The Sustainable Builders Alliance and only use logos in accordance with the branding guidelines. The logos must not be altered or used in any way that could be misleading or imply endorsement of any product or service not affiliated with The Sustainable Builders Alliance.

7. Payment Terms

7.1. Membership Fees

By becoming a member of The Sustainable Builders Alliance, you agree to pay any applicable membership fees as outlined during the registration process. Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

7.2. Renewal

Membership fees may be charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on the membership plan selected. By providing your payment details, you authorise The Sustainable Builders Alliance to charge the relevant fees at the start of each renewal period unless you cancel your membership before the renewal date.

7.3. Late or Failed Payments

In the event of a failed payment or insufficient funds, your membership may be suspended until the outstanding balance is settled. Continued non-payment may result in termination of membership.

7.4. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes, levies, or duties applicable to your membership fees, which will be added to the amount charged when required.

8. Termination

8.1. Termination by Member

Members may terminate their membership at any time by providing written notice to The Sustainable Builders Alliance.

8.2. Termination by the Alliance

The Sustainable Builders Alliance reserves the right to terminate membership, without notice, for any breach of these terms and conditions or for conduct that the Alliance, in its sole discretion, believes is harmful to other members or the Alliance as a whole.

9. Amendments

9.1. Changes to Terms

The Sustainable Builders Alliance reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of the new terms and conditions.

10. Governing Law

10.1. Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
